this is cool
the bass strings melodic line is the same from requiem for a dream, the trailer music for the LOTR II
not sure if u intended that
it wasnt that dark either, but it was really cool

actually that particular bass line is present in quite a few songs... and for the record I love that song. As well it differs slightly in the pitch of the last note. All in all lol... in the end it doesn't come out sounding much like it anyways :). Hey I'm not a dark kinda guy lol... your the mastermind not me :P.

i liked the triangle used in the orchestral hits
.... it gave it a POTC feel to it
low brass parts are cool too
i didnt like that choice on trumpet tho
piano solo in the end was sweet
shouldve expanded on that

Thanks for the review! I do see what you're saying...it does seem to fit a royal atmosphere much better. I originally wrote it as sort of a glory of battle thing, but yeah, it does seem to fit your description far better.

And yeah, I do plan to have lots of piano in future songs. Most of the work I'm going to be posting will be from the soundtrack of my upcoming flash series, and I do use the piano to help create the mood there.

cool

some things i didnt like too much
there was no articulation in the oboe
its supposed to make u feel cheery and jumpy
it was all legato-ed
the french horn shouldve had more parts than just what u gave it lol
that small change in instrumentation between the flute and oboe in the second refrain was cool
still tho i wouldve liked it if there was more originality in this lol
nonetheless it was fun

Thankyou for your review. As you said, I did not have any articulation in the "english horn." I could have made the song much richer, with better dynamics and broader parts, but I decided to keep it simple for now. I am going to release my "major-project" and very original orchestral version of this very soon I hope. But I still think this one is very nice to hear every once in a while ;).
