I have always believed that you can know someone by listening to his/her music, or any other kind of art. Through music you can know their toughts, dreams, ideas, etc. Probably not that much, because is damn hard, but I find it possible. For example, I had an idea of what kind of person you are by only listening to your music, long before talking to you. And I confirmed it. I'm not saying that I know how you are, I just got the idea. Same way to Rocky. It's like a mirror. I like what I see in that mirror, therefore it makes me feel like it's a part of me too.

I don't know how this contributes to your thread, but I suddenly remembered this thoughts I was discussing with a friend of mine.

Have a nice day. And make more music soon >:D

true
great points.
and sorry about the lack of (good) new music
I've been crazy busy with schoolwork its insane.
the stress is making it hard for melodies to come to my head.
school isn't the best inspiration for me :-/
anyways, if i do compose something, it'll most likely be something really typical of me to compose, something romantic
so sorry about that in advance.
I don't feel much solace anymore in making large-scale orchestra pieces anymore, though I would like to make one.
In fact, that reminds me, I did make a great orchestral piece. Maestro is helping me make the mp3 of it. It has been done for about a month. I can confidently say it is my favorite piece by me.

so, a few things to look forward to?

You should talk about your love life with your piano.

i only have a 500 word limit
it would be impossible to summarize it so briefly

You have an interesting perspective on the affects of music on people. I too share the same views as you do. Music is a medium for expression and ones' feelings while staying true to their respective cultures, hence various genres and whatnot. Your essay should include more detail. Go through it piece by piece and ask yourself 'How can I improve this'? For example, you said 'The musicians that I admire most have the versatility to induce several different emotional responses in the same piece', explain who or what kind of musicians have induced what kind of responses, that would make it pretty interesting. It would add more 'umph' behind the point you're trying to make, because people could then relate more.
