repetitive

mae mae mae... wut a nice song... haha

the Harp is so wonderful, sounds nice
especially wit the tamborine thing in the
background.
guitar should be brought out a little
cuz the oboes notes sound similar to the guitar
the oboe sounds nice tho

but

then u got into that baroque-ish sounding
progression. and i was thinking yeah that sounds
really nice, until you looped it more and passed
it down to the strings.
Dm - Edimin - C - Dm - Bb - C - Am - Bb
am i correct? lol cuz in my eyes, it doesnt
look like it would sound good...

anyways, i wasnt too happy with the ending.
My favorite part of the song would be from the beginning to the part wen the baroque progressions
came up

anyways, enjoyable all in all

Thanks WinterWind, to be honest, i'm not too certain what you mean, you see i'm not at all seasoned in music theory, so i'll have to give you the benefit of the doubt.

Thanks for the review, i'm glad you enjoyed it ^^.

cewl

i like that french horn theme
when that theme reappeared, there was that weird
drum/tabla/side drum sounding thingy which I
particularly didnt like too much
it was almost like my speakers were crackling
with static or something
i dunno about wut other ppl thought of that
that pan flute was definitely unexpected
loved the choir nothing to say about that
strings are nice, jus the typical marcato style
assigned parts. Snare filled the song a LOT
I wanted to hear the horns a little better when
the choir came in but that's just me

o and lemme take a shot at wut VST's ur using
...if any...

1.) edirol orchestral?
2.) Garritan's personal orchestra (i doubt it)
3.) some cheaper version of some kinda East West
software (theyre EXPENSIVE!)
4.) voices of the apocolypse
5.) Philharmonik
sweet job dude
Can't wait to hear ur next song

WinterSind-NS

great quality sound

It was like a typical war score u know wut i mean?
One thing taht drove me crazy
that cow bell wasn't working well at all IMO
lol sorry dude but i love the intensity
nice samples/VST's/wutevr ur using
This song is a little to full of percussion which
takes away from the melodic instruments
If you take away the percussion, it'd be kinda
lame. This song could be so much more if it had
actual musical notation u know wut i mean?
Choir was cool, but they kinda dissappeared after
a few seconds of the song so i was disappointed
with that

anyways keep it up dude I'm lovin it
check out my songs wen u got the time
u might like a song or 2 on my page

for all u ppl asking questions here...

his profile says...
"Please contact me via my site if you have additional questions. Leaving questions in the comment box will simply just dwindle in the wind. :)"

anyways...
again, not my favorite...
this song is full of hi quality goodness but
i dont like how there's so much percussion...
im getting kinda tired of that lol
if all ur tracks for K&K are like this, it may
get a tad bit boring.
a more original intro would be nice too
sorry man but i wasnt too happy with this
even tho i gave u an 8/10 and a 5/5 lol
anyways, try to take wut i said into consideration
or dont, that's just the 'classical' in me
speaking. I'm not a big fan of modern classical

take care

btw my fav song is high seas lol
(downloads for "high seas" +100 lol)

Winterwind-NS

nice

it was boring up to the point around 1:06
but i guess that was just to introduce the
instruments..
the cymbals were really annoying lol
u sir have a huge library of samples
anyways, thanks for sharing

not my fav song from u tho...

WinterWind-NS

wow

wonderful song with a very suiting title
much like a lulliby indeed, but more like
a fanfare half way thru the song haha
i love the melodies u have in this song
mind sharing your story?

keep it up!

WinterWind-NS

SuperTonic64 responds:

Thanks WinterWind!

Nah, I don't mind sharing the story. :D

In my story, there is a whole population of people living unknowingly in a artifical world. (Kinda like the matrix, but not.) The story is a parody of the Legend of Zelda series, so at the end, I decided to write an ocarina solo that one of my character plays to send everyone back to their real home. :D (Complicated, I know. :P) That's why there is a fanfare in the middle of the song. :D

"Ow! My hopes of reaching Top 5!!!!"

Glad ur finally out of the midi-stage haha
Its funny how that works tho cuz.. w/e great song
dude. Love your instrumentation. I wouldnt know
how to assign a celeste in my songs.
the cellos are my favorite part of the song
it was the part of the song that gave it motion.
ending was nice too, with the celeste
awesome
Only thing i would've wanted more out of in the
song would be a better piano part lol
but thats just me :)

now finish ur freakin collab u monkey

WinterWind-NS
FIVE'D!!!

MusicalRocky responds:

Who says I'm out of that stage? lol I still don't have anything but MIDI. "Great song" Thanks. Yeah, I spent a lotta time on the instrumentation. You don't know how to assign celeste? Wait, what's a celeste? O_o

Yeah, gotta love those cellos. I loved writing those. Yeah, I like that ending.

Hm, I didn't focus much on the piano in this piece. Eh, it's all right how it is.

I'M TRYING TO FINISH. Gawsh.

Yay! Five. Thanks.

Baroque

Reminded me of a Paganini caprice at first
until the rest of the violins came in.
More intstruments would definitely help.
nice sample

A few things i didnt like.
1.) the repetition. Break away from the the constant rhythm.
2.) that note in the beginning was just random lol
3.) that F# maj chord at 00:59
4.) the random notes at the end lol

1:01 had the typical baroque progressions which
almost every baroque composer (vivaldi, handel
etc.) used. It was even worse when you repeated
it lol since that section is in A minor, I was talking about the...
i, iv, VII, III, VI, ii dimin., V, i

other than all that, it was really enjoyable
I hope i don't sound mean because I really don't
intend to discourage you.

Keep up the great music

WinterWind-NS

cool cool

I've never heard of the original but this was nice
and was surprisingly catchy
i loved the melody
only think i really didnt like were
the toms lol
great job pce

My favorite key!

C minor = fun
great job on the song dude this definetly beats your previous waltzes. A thing I like about the
left hand part here that your other waltzes dont
have were the bigger jumps. It makes the song
sound more fun.
The octaves idea in the first section was a good
idea. Nice crescendo.

Keep it up bro

WinterWind-NS

MusicalRocky responds:

"C minor = fun" - Yep
"great job on the song dude this definetly beats your previous waltzes." - sweet! really? (definitely*)
"A thing I like about the left hand part here that your other waltzes dont have were the bigger jumps." - Yeah, that idea just dawned to me randomly
"It makes the song sound more fun." - Jumping is fun
"The octaves idea in the first section was a good idea." - Yeah, it's cool, thanks
"Nice crescendo." - I know, right?!?
"Keep it up bro" - I'll try
"WinterWind-NS" - Not smart?

Don't talk to Strangers.
