Youtube Videos

Posted by Winterwind-NS - March 23rd, 2008

I have two Youtube videos of me playing a few pieces on my account for those who are interested.

Me playing my Prelude no. 6 in F Minor 'For a Story yet to Begin', L'angoisse Romantique I. Melancolie (a piece not on newgrounds), and then Prelude no. 8 in C minor 'Last Snowfall'

and also, a challenging piece by Franz Liszt

Liebestraum no. 3 in Ab major 'Love Dream' O lieb, so lang du lieben kannst!

Here's a video of an anonymous pianist playing my 4th Nocturne in C minor
Andante Amoroso

and another of the same pianist playing my 6th nocturne
Moderato Semplice

These videos are fairly old now and I WILL be posting new videos very soon once I get a new USB for my camcorder. So please subscribe if you're looking forward to that.

Whaaaagg, I envy you people who have such great musical talent.

P.S. What's with the upper torso movements in the last two videos? I've seen other pianists do it, but I have no idea why because I know nothing about piano playing.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but if you are talking about how he seems to move forward/backward, that's just a natural thing that you tend to do to assist the playing. Just like how breathing also greatly affects the sound of the piano as if it was a vocal piece.
Especially if you really have a strong passion for the particular piece that you are playing.
I don't think I even covered the tip of the iceberg but I hope you get the idea.

I r happy :)

I r happy cuz U r happy

Wow man, beautiful as always!

.o . Didn't know you had a myspace music page, so convenient :D

hey thanks dood!
yeah I does
I'm not on it very often, but yeah

Hi winter. Listen I haven't been here long but I heard a lot about how great of a composer you are from my friend bb46 who is just as crazy about writing his own music as you are. And well...I wanted to start up to and I wrote a song on a music program I have on my computer and I just recently submitted it. I was wondering if you could maybe listen to it and see what you think? I uploaded 2 songs one under miscellanious. Its a piano song i wrote called Short Sight. If you could that would be great.

Thanks,

Yo! I received the sheet music, and saw the note. Thanks so much! I thought to reply you through email, but figured you might prefer an additional comment to your profile instead. :P

Ah well, I do like your music, the least I could show some support is to review right? Haha. Yeah, I like those videos as well, actually I WOULD be looking forward to more videos from you on YTube, doesn't matter if they're instrumental pieces or vlogs, I'll be happy to watch.

It gives more of a sense of presence or existence on the net. The sense of 'hey I know this good composer and he's actually funny or loves to ___ and plays the ___' gives a better impression than just 'Oh i know this great composer on NG, and his stuff is just great.' The problem with many composers is that they are limited to just one platform, which also associates their music with NG, rather than the artist.

You know what I mean? Lol.

You are correct, I did indeed appreciate a news comment more than I would've if you emailed me back. :]

and yeah, I get what you mean, I think? haha
I'm trying to upload a video right now atm but adobe premiere isn't cooperating.
thanks again for the reply!
